The Let’s Help Let’s Move initiative is a missing link to the “Let’s Move” program because it is committed to helping young children form a health belief system and preparing them to accept and establish patterns of healthy nutrition and a healthy lifestyle promoted by schools. The New England Journal of Medicine confirms this. The article ‘Let's Move — Childhood Obesity Prevention from Pregnancy and Infancy Onward’ states that “To be a truly comprehensive and successful program, then the Let's Move campaign must stimulate prevention efforts targeting the youngest Americans — those under 2 years of age and preschoolers”

Because average American parents are not seriously concerned with America’s growing rates of obesity and consider obesity to be a low-valence issue, they may not support obesity-targeted policies. Let’s Help Let’s Move is dedicated to helping parents understand and develop other attitudinal frameworks by promoting free sources of health-oriented edutainment for young children and urging parents to become consciously involved in health education.

Nationwide Anti-Obesity Programs Need Help

The “LET’S MOVE” program and other government programs like the “Let’s move salad bars to schools” program and the “Let’s move active schools” program are aimed at serving healthier meals to children and increasing physical activity in children who are in school. Unfortunately, these initiatives are not getting expected results and are failing to address broader issues and accomplish far-reaching changes.

Let's Help Let's Move supports the lifesaving missions of Let's Move camaign, the Partnership for a Healthier America and the Alliance for a Healthier Generation to reduce the prevalence of childhood obesity and to empower kids to develop lifelong, healthy habits.
